Lansing Jaycees Juice for the week 4/23/2012
Lansing Jaycees

Big Brothers, Big Sisters are counting on us!

This is the final week of fundraising before the "Bowl For Kids' Sake" fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters Michigan Capital Region this Friday, April 27.

Lansing Jaycees Angela Clock, Lauren Leeds and Charlie Root will be bowling to help make a difference for children in the greater Lansing area who could benefit from having a mentor in their life.

So far, the Lansing Jaycees team has raised more than $700 toward the goal of raising $1,500 for BBBS (the approximate amount it cost the organization to make a match). If you can, please support one of the bowlers, or make a general team donation.

If you are unable to pick just one member to donate to, you can make a general team donation here.

If you want to join the Lansing Jaycees team, make sure to sign up for the Friday, April 27 date, registration at 7:45 p.m.! We're asking that participants raise at least $50. Sign up here.

Scrips Fundraising

Scrips is an easy way for members to raise funds for the Lansing Jaycees. You don't have to go door to door. You don't have to sell your family. You simply buy the things you are already buying. What is the catch? You use pre-paid gift cards purchased through the Great Lakes Scrip program.

By using pre-paid cards for gas and groceries purchased during a year a individual could raise several hundred dollars for the Lansing Jaycees programs.

Dan Harris (dan@dnharris.com) will have more information on how you can participate at the May GMM.

If you would like to know more you can check out: How Scrip Works or locate your favorite brands that part of the 100s that participate in Scrip.

Then hopefully share the results with the US Jaycees, JCI, and the United Nations (and any of its commissions that benefited). Here is our opportunity to meet-up and discuss the eight MDGs, develop a set of guidelines for measuring and determining the impact project contribute towards a MDG, and brainstorm project ideas.

Guests enjoy a casual strolling dinner with amazing food and drinks from the area's top restaurants and caterers, a commemorative 'empty plate' painted by children at local elementary schools, and unique live and silent auction options, including sports and vacation packages.
